SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive engineering, and more particularly to control devices. Control unit for a four-wheel drive system includes a transfer case, a differential mechanism, a propshaft, two gear clutches and a control unit with an electronic control unit. Differential mechanism contains two control clutches, which regulate the torque transmitted to the auxiliary drive wheels. One of the two clutch gear clutches contains a synchronizer. First clutch is located in the transfer case.
EFFECT: reduction of impact loads is achieved.
