FIELD: wireless communication equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication and more specifically to a method of transmitting uplink data. Disclosed is a method of transmitting a reference signal and a communication device. Method is realized by a terminal device or a network device and includes: determining at least one time unit resource unit for transmitting a reference signal and transmitting a reference signal in at least one resource block of the time domain. Since the reference signal is transmitted in at least one special resource unit of the time domain instead of transmitting, with multiple use, a portion of the sub-carrier resource blocks of the time domain for data transmission, the transmission delay of the reference signal is reduced, thus, reducing delay of data demodulation or measurement of channel state information (CSI), performed based on reference signal, and reducing non-productive consumption of control signalling resources for indicating resource of negotiation of transfer speed and complexity of performing rate matching.

EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of time delay introduced by transmission of reference signal.
