SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used in wireless communication systems. In the method, a wireless communication device and a network node, demodulation reference signals (DMRS) are multiplexed during short transmission time intervals (sTTI). According to one aspect, the method includes steps of generating an indication of the configuration of alternating-frequency-division multiple access (IFDMA) subcarriers for transmitting DMRS signals. Method further includes transmitting, in a wireless communication device, an indication of the configuration of subcarrier regions of IFDMA.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improved transmission capacity.
