FIELD: consumer goods industry.

SUBSTANCE: method of applying a strip of material on part (1) of a sleeve of coated or non-coated polymer fabric. At least, one band-like strip (3) of material is supplied to one end area (4) of sleeve part (1), so that end (2) of sleeve part (1) is closed in end area (4). Heat energy, preferably in form of hot gas, most preferably in form of hot air, is introduced, preferably is blown, directly into end area (4) on side (11) of at least one strip (3) of material facing part of sleeve and/or on surface (12) of sleeve part (1) facing said side (11) of at least one strip (3) of material. After that, material strip (3), as well as part (1) of sleeve, are compressed in end area (4), wherein introduction of heat energy occurs simultaneously with supply of at least one strip of material (3) to end area (4) of part (1) of the sleeve.

EFFECT: method is characterized by that at least one pitch of the method is provided for formation of hole (10) of a hole of the bag from at least one strip (3) of material.
