FIELD: chemical or physical processes; manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a series of electrolysis cells for producing aluminum and a method of balancing magnetic fields in a series of electrolytic cells. Series comprises two rectilinear and parallel series of electrolyzers electrically connected in series, connecting conductor between the first end electrolysis cell of one row and the first end electrolytic cell of the other row and at least one magnetic balance circuit of the end electrolytic cells of the row, containing first electric conductor of magnetic balancing of end electrolyzers, extending along one row of electrolysis cells only opposite end section of first row of electrolytic cells. Disclosed is a method of balancing the magnetic field of a series of electrolysis cells for producing aluminum by electrolysis in a melt using the Hall—Héroult method.
EFFECT: possibility to compensate magnetic field generated by connecting conductors in end electrolyzers, increase in stability and controllability of end electrolytic cells of the row.
