FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrolysis plant for producing aluminum. The plant contains (i) a series of electrolyzers designed to produce aluminum, forming one or several rows (F), (ii) a feeding substation designed to supply the series of electrolyzers with electrolysis current (I1), having two poles, (iii) a main electrical circuit designed for electrolysis current (I1) to flow through it, having two ends, each of which is connected to one of poles of the feeding substation, (iv) at least one secondary electrical circuit containing an electrical conductor made of superconducting material, designed for current (I2) to flow through it, and laid along the row or rows (F) of electrolyzers in such a way that the electrical conductor made of superconducting material of the secondary electrical circuit passes at least twice along the row or rows (F) of electrolyzers, making several consecutive turns.
EFFECT: reduced costs for the construction and operation of the plant and reduction in the area occupied by the plant are provided.
