Method comprises: providing a mobile wireless device; initiating an application program controlled by a processor; initiating movement of mobile wireless device; using a mapping module to track a starting point for a mobile wireless device; moving a mobile wireless device from a starting point along one or more travel branches; using data to identify one or more branches; identifying a stopping point using a mapping module from a start point through one or more branches; storing information associated with a trip in a user account, which may be available at any time for further classification for mileage or deduction purposes; output, on the display of the mobile wireless device, graphical presentation of the route starting from the initial point to the stopping point.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of vehicle mileage tracking efficiency.
