RESILIENT CONE-SHAPED INTRAVAGINAL SUPPORTING DEVICE (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61F6/08

Abstract RU 2722444 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions includes versions of a vaginal insertion device for use in relieving the symptoms associated with pelvic descent, urinary incontinence or concomitant with pelvic descent and urinary incontinence relates to medical equipment and is intended for urological and gynecological treatment in the respective field of medicine. Vaginal device comprises an upper portion, an outer edge, ribs and an extraction portion. Upper section is made of elastic and non-absorbent material, has cone-shaped body, round cross-section along whole length of upper section, wall with inner side and outer side, upper open end, lower end and hollow inner part. Circumference of upper section decreases from upper open end to lower end, wherein the upper open end of the upper portion is the innermost portion of the vaginal insertion device when inserted. Wall of upper portion is configured to be compressed to impart compact shape to upper portion to facilitate insertion of vaginal insertion device, wherein wall is made with possibility of expansion to its initial shape after introduction. Outer edge surrounds the outer side of the wall of the upper section and protrudes from it, besides, the outer edge is adjacent to the above upper open end. Said ribs surround outer side of top section wall and protrude therefrom. Note here that ribs are spaced apart from upper open end to lower end. Upper section, together with edge and ribs, provide reliable retention of the vaginal insertion device in place so as to exert a pressure on the urethral sphincter or maintain the pelvic organs, or simultaneously exert a pressure on the urethral sphincter and maintain the pelvic organs, when said device is introduced. Extraction section extends from lower end of said upper portion, wherein extraction portion is configured to provide access thereto outside of vagina, when the vaginal insertion device is inserted into the vagina, and wherein the extraction site facilitates removal of the vaginal insertion device.

EFFECT: invention provides accessibility, ease of use, comfort and simplicity for the patient when introduced and removed, with minimal or no doctor intervention.
