SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices and methods for processing decommissioned depleted radioactively contaminated equipment. Method of fragmentation of a metal structure involves the following stages: supply of energy by a melting module into the melting zone, pumping of liquid metal through a pipeline from the melting zone into the intermediate chamber under vacuum, supply of liquid metal under action of excessive pressure via pipeline from intermediate chamber to cooling chamber of liquid metal, cooling of liquid metal till formation of fraction in cooling chamber of liquid metal. Pipelines for liquid metal supply are closed by means of local cooling of pipeline sections and formation of plug from hardened metal. Opening of pipelines for liquid metal supply is performed by means of local heating of pipeline sections till fusion of plug from solidified metal. There is also a melting module.

EFFECT: group of inventions allows to fragment metal volumetric structures.
