FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to moulding articles from rubber and plastic, in particular, to a method and an apparatus for dosed compression moulding articles from rubber and plastic in multi-seat moulds. In compliance with proposed method variable-return motion of billet shuttle and male die in mould for bottle cap is controlled by coordination of operation of two open gear transmissions. In the process of combined operation of two open gears, the mould opening movement, the isostatic pressing energy accumulation and the spring energy accumulation are performed by the said open gears engagement characteristics (and), and rapid mould closing and compression moulding are performed by means of characteristics (and) non-engagement of these open gear transmissions, accumulation of isostatic pressing energy and pressure testing of open gear transmissions. In the disclosed device, the open gear for the mould displacement is connected to the rotary drum wheel to move the mould, and the open gear for the blanks feeding is connected to the rotary drum wheel for the workpieces feed. One end of rope to move mould is wound on rotary drum wheel to move mould, and its other end is connected with plate to support puncheons. One end of the billet supply cable is wound on a rotary drum wheel for feeding workpieces, and its other end is attached to the cable holder to feed workpieces. Said holder of the cable for feeding workpieces is connected to the work shuttle by means of three-link lever mechanism.

EFFECT: invention effectively solves problem of low efficiency and insufficient accuracy and stability in operation of existing equipment for production of bottle caps by compression moulding technology.
