FIELD: pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to downhole pumps switching units used for extraction of raw material, for example, oil and gas, from below ground surface. Switching unit comprises one or more solid-state semiconductor switches configured to be arranged in a downhole pipeline assembly. One or more switches are configured to operate in a closed state to transmit electric current supplied from a power supply placed on the surface to pumps arranged under the surface, to ensure extraction of resource of these pumps from under surface through pipeline assembly. Said one or more switches are also configured to operate in an open state to stop transmission of electric current from the power supply to the pumps.
EFFECT: reduced cost of operations for resource extraction.
