SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in making housings, containers, tanks, pressure cylinders (hereinafter shells) of composite material (CM). Mandrel for winding shells from composite material on heat-insulated coating 5 made preliminary, which is attached to flanges 3, comprises on shaft 1 shaping elements 2, flanged holders 4, stops 7 installed on flange holders 4, contacting with wound shell 6, between flange holders 4 and shaping elements 2, as well as between flange holders 4 and shaft 1 there are detachable retainers 8, 9 installed with possibility of detachment of flange holders 4 between each other before heat treatment mode. On flange holders 4 there can be installed process bottoms 10, on which additional stops 12 are installed.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is elimination of delamination between a heat-insulating coating with a flange and a composite material when making a container, high adhesion strength of the heat-protective coating - power shell boundary.
