FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method involves centering of workpiece W (1) with final bore axial channel (2) relative to machine axis by installation in four-cam chuck (3) and pressing rear center (4) and making support necks (SN) (5) with constant wall thickness in cross sections. On SN (5) bearing journals are fitted with roller rests RR (6) and serially turning sections between RR (6). Center inserts (10) and (11) are installed in axial channel (2) of W (1) along ends (8) and (9). Annular rest AR (12) is installed next to chuck (3), near which a uniform control groove (13) is sharpened within the limits of machining allowance with alignment adjustment by chuck (3) of the machine tool. From control groove (13) preliminary workpiece is turned in direction towards rear stock. Then, the outer surface is turned to the final size in two steps by roughing and finishing from rear headstock (13) to front (14), moving in front of the processing zone AR (12) and removing RR (6) with SN (5) in measure approximation AR (12).
EFFECT: possibility of turning both with smooth outer surface, and external surface with ribs, thin-walled long part, especially large diameter, high accuracy and simplification of process due to turning workpiece from one installation and reducing load on processed thin-walled part of workpiece.
