FIELD: chemical or physical processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of purifying a stream of carbon dioxide from hydrogen and methanol and can be used to purify CO2 fed into a urea synthesis process. Method consists in that hydrogen and methanol are removed by contact of CO2 of stream (12) with a catalyst which oxidises hydrogen to water and methanol to carbon dioxide to obtain purified CO2 stream. At least a portion of cleaned CO2 stream after removal of methanol and hydrogen is fed into a urea synthesis process, and CO2 stream is withdrawn from an integrated installation section ammonium-producing ammonia, urea, wherein urea is produced at a pressure urea synthesis. Further, CO2 stream is removed under pressure which is lower than the pressure of synthesis of urea. Further CO2 stream is compressed to a first pressure, an intermediate pressure between the output and the urea synthesis pressure, and hydrogen removal and methanol is carried out at said first pressure. At that, at least part of the obtained purified CO2 stream is additionally compressed to urea synthesis pressure and supplied to the urea synthesis process.
EFFECT: technical result is providing a method of removing hydrogen and methanol from CO2 flow, allowing to simplify the design and achieve advantages in terms of cost and reduced water consumption.
