FIELD: test technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing of various structures or devices, namely to testing of self-propelled rolling stock in order to determine its characteristics. Method of determining the main resistance to movement of a wagon of self-propelled rolling stock consists in achieving equilibrium speed when moving on one or several positions of a driver's controller on a platform or constant slopes. At equilibrium speed in the case of movement on the platform, the rail tractive effort is equal to the main resistance to motion as a wagon, and on the ascent to obtain the main resistance to motion as a wagon from the value of the rail tractive effort, additional resistance from the lift is subtracted. Based on several values of main resistance to motion as a wagon, dependence of the main resistance to wagon movement on speed is plotted. Dependence of the rail tractive effort on speed is refined in view of the constructed relationship. Specified values of rail tractive effort at previously set equilibrium speeds correspond to specified values of main resistance to motion as wagon, according to which there is a new dependence of main resistance to movement of wagon as speed. Iterative calculation process is continued until obtaining the required accuracy result.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of determination of resistance to movement of trains, higher quality of making mode maps and train programs by driver.
