FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of sheet of stainless steel with thickness from 20 to 500 mcm, used as thin sheet spring material. Sheet has chemical composition of steel containing, in wt %: 0.010 to 0.200 C, more than 2.00 and 4.00 or less Si, 0.01 to 3.00 Mn, 3.00 or more and less than 10.00 Ni, 11.00 to 20, 00 Cr, from 0.010 to 0.200 N, 0 to 3.00 Mo, 0 to 1.00 Cu, 0 to 0.008 Ti, 0 to 0.008 Al, the rest being Fe and unavoidable impurities. In case, in section L, parallel to direction of rolling and direction of sheet thickness, group of particles of non-metallic inclusions, lined with interparticle interval in rolling direction of 20 mcm or less and interparticle interval in direction of sheet thickness of 10 mcm or less, are considered as one non-metallic inclusion, numerical density of non-metallic inclusions having length in rolling direction of 40 mcm or more is 3.0 or less per square millimeter in cross-section L.
EFFECT: higher fatigue resistance characteristics.
