FIELD: railway automatics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway automatics. Method consists in using information transmitted to the locomotive on the condition of the ahead-lying track sections, the position of the railway switches and the steepness of switch assemblies. Locomotive computer memory includes information on track development of locomotive entire train as a part of train, track parameters and rolling stock. Information on train number and train arrival and departure time is transmitted via the radio channel from the railway stations closest to the train. Optimum and maximum program speeds of train movement, position of locomotive controller and operator's cockpit, driver's watchfulness control point, preparation for braking, braking start and train head stopping point are determined and displayed on locomotive display panel. If the program and actual parameters do not match, the screen elements are coloured red or yellow. Appearance of colour information is accompanied by an acoustic signal. Map of the locality is displayed on a separate page of the locomotive panel, where the route plan and landscape objects are displayed.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities and operational reliability of train speed control devices, higher safety of train movement and throughput.
