FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to ophthalmology and aims at producing content of lachrymal passages for cytological examination. Instrument is introduced in tear-point, which is an all-metal probe with length of 50 mm, consisting of a handle with length of 33 mm and diameter of 1.5 mm with a graduated scale and a working portion in the form of a groove with length of 15 mm and diameter of 1 mm, which changes into a chamfer and a conic narrowing with base diameter of 1.5 mm and length of 2 mm, note here that removable silicone tube with length of 15 mm, outer diameter of 1.5 mm and inner diameter of 1 mm is arranged on groove. Probe is advanced along the lachrymal passages to a point of interest. Probe is removed, the silicon tube is removed from the probe and subjected to cytological examination.
EFFECT: using the group of inventions provides prevention of lacrimation of lachrymal passages, contamination when ingested into the nasal cavity, possibility of obtaining content for cytological analysis at any level of lachrymal passages.
