FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for drainage of the lacrimal ducts during obliteration of the mouth of the nasolacrimal duct. Under endoscopic control, using compression of the lacrimal sac, a protrusion in the area of the mouth of the nasolacrimal duct is visualized. Through the lower nasal passage, the membrane is perforated in the area of maximum tissue protrusion. Then, after evacuation of the contents from the lacrimal ducts, endonasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy is performed with formation of a dacryostomy at the level of the lacrimal sac.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to drain the lacrimal ducts along their entire length through a combination of endonasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy and retrograde sounding with drainage of the pocket under the dacryostomy.
