FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-corrosive thermal treatment of articles from corrosion-resistant austenitic steel used as structural elements of nuclear reactors. Vacuum chamber is loaded with a frame of defatted products and evacuation of chamber with cage. Residual pressure after chamber evacuation makes no more than 8×10-5 mm Hg, and leakage is less than 5.00×10-3 l × mm Hg/s for at least 24 s. Cooking chamber is heated to austenitizing temperature of 920–970 °C, installed in the chamber by an inductor. Cage is maintained at this temperature and further cooling is performed.
EFFECT: obtaining articles from austenitic steels without oxide films, including tarnishing colors, on the surface, as well as required level of mechanical properties and resistance to inter-crystalline corrosion.
