FIELD: physics; transportation.
SUBSTANCE: method for excluding abnormal results of speed measurements in an autonomous navigation system of a ground vehicle relates to ground navigation and can be used in autonomous systems of ground navigation, in which high-speed determination of the speed and distance travelled between the initial and the next points of the route is required. Disclosed is method of excluding anomalous results of speed measurements in autonomous navigation system of ground vehicle, which consists in the fact that continuous measurement of object movement speed by mechanical speed sensor and periodical measurements with high accuracy of optoelectronic speed sensor, loading into the on-board computer memory a table with coefficients, according to the invention, the obtained measured velocities for the "misses" are checked, excluding from the measurement sample abnormal results, calculating the average ground vehicle speed used for calibrating the mechanical velocity sensor, analysing said "misses" for detecting defects in the speed sensors operation, software is loaded into on-board computer memory to diagnose serviceability of speed transducer measuring units and diagnostics of speed transducer measuring units.
EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of determining the speed of ground vehicle and reliability of results of measurements of speed and distance travelled by ground vehicle.
