FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, relates to elements of gas turbine engine systems and can be used as respirator-separator, air separator in oil systems of aircraft gas turbine engines. Driven centrifugal breather of a gas turbine engine comprises housing with oil discharge thread and oil catching groove and drive shaft with axial impeller installed in it on support bearings. Before the axial impeller there installed is radial impeller made integral with it, the disk part of which is located under the oil discharge thread of the housing and is equipped on the periphery with channels communicating the flow part of the radial bladed wheel and the axial impeller. Shoulder part is located under oil catching groove and is equipped with inlet edges bent opposite to direction of rotation of breather. On the blades of the axial impeller on the side located opposite to the direction of rotation of the breather, oil-accumulating grooves communicating with the oil throwing thread are made across the axis of rotation.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of separation in the breather due to optimization of the motion path of the gas-liquid mixture in the impeller running part.
