FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to construction industry, in particular to glass fittings, reinforced with it a cement slab and a method of making a cement slab. Glass fixtures for a cement slab comprise at least one glass fibre and a coating on at least one glass fibre, wherein the coating is made from a polymer composition of polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyamide or a combination thereof, and an alkali absorber present in an amount of about 0.5 % to about 20.0 % by weight of the coating, wherein the alkali scavenger contains an organic acid, pKa of which is greater than about 3, and the acid is in a liquid state at 25 °C. Reinforced cement slab contains a cement core and the specified glass reinforcement located on at least one face of the cement core. Method of making cement slab includes providing said glass reinforcement, applying a cement slurry on glass reinforcement and forming a cement slurry and glass reinforcement in the cement slab. EFFECT: technical result is improvement of physical and mechanical properties of glass reinforcement for the production of cement slabs.
