SUBSTANCE: invention relates to carrier material for vinyl floor covering and a composite product, such as a composite product for a roofing material, a flooring material or a carpet material. Carrier material includes one or more nonwoven fibre layers, wherein each nonwoven fibre layer comprises at least 50 wt. % thermoplastic fibres relative to the total weight of the fibres in the respective nonwoven fibre layer, and a scrim comprising weft yarns of glass fibres or high modulus polyester fibres, the glass weft yarns having a linear density of 28 tex or less, high modulus polyester weft yarns having a linear density of 50 tex or less.

EFFECT: invention provides carrier material for an elastic vinyl floor covering comprising a nonwoven layer including thermoplastic fibres, which prevents the formation of wrinkles in the elastic vinyl floor covering and which prevents surface irregularities and/or printing errors in the elastic vinyl floor covering.
