FIELD: metal rolling.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of rolling. Methods for contactless tension of metal strip during metal processing include passage of metal strip next to magnetic rotor. Magnetic rotor is located at the first distance from metal strip, at that tension of metal strip is created by means of magnetic rotor by means of magnetic rotor rotation. Rotation of magnetic rotor leads to excitation of magnetic field in metal strip, so that metal strip undergoes tension in direction upwards or downwards along process chain. In other aspects, the rotation of the magnetic rotor excites the magnetic field in the metal strip, so that a force normal to the surface of the metal strip is applied to the metal strip.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of adjusting the tension force of the strip when unwinding or unwinding in rolling without damaging its surface.
