SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering, in particular to devices for scaring birds from landing and nesting them on cross-beams of overhead power transmission lines. Apparatus for scaring off birds from landing and nesting them on crossbars of overhead power transmission lines is made at least in the form of one module having the possibility of connection with other modules to provide the protected area for the required length. Module consists of detachable or permanent base (1) and rods (2). Lateral sides of the base are made with element (3, 4) for connection of bases to each other. At least two slots (5) are made in the base for its attachment to the support of the line support. Rods selected in number from two to eight pieces are made of identical shape and / or shape of rods differ from each other. In its base rods are made with cross-section of crosswise, polyhedral, round, rectangular or oval shape and located in one plane or different planes. At least one rod is made with end shape (6) excluding the possibility of bird injuries at accidental contact or attempt to fit on this rod.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of protection of birds against electric shock.
