FIELD: electric power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric power industry, namely to insulating traverses for overhead transmission lines of voltage class of 220 kV and higher. Crossarm consists of insulating structural elements and fasteners. Insulating structural elements are made in form of cantilever polymer insulator 1 and in form of two polymer insulating tie-rods 2. Ends 3, 4 of cantilever polymer insulator 1 and polymer insulating rod 2 are connected to each other by attachment unit, and by their second ends 5, 6 they are attached to post 7 of overhead power line. Ratio of construction length L of crossarm along horizontal to construction height H of crossarm is selected within L/H = 1.2÷5.0.

EFFECT: ratio of construction length L of horizontal crossbar to building height H of crossarm selected within L/H = 1_2÷5, proved effective from the point of view of reduced dimensions of supports, fixed fixation of wires relative to support, approach of wires phases, reduction of guard zones.
