FIELD: medicine; immunology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used to modulate the immune system of a vertebrate host. For modulation of the immune system of a vertebral host for therapeutic or preventive treatment of pulmonary infection Streptococcus pneumonia or Pseudomonas aeruginosa, the method involves administering an effective amount of antigenic composition into an administration site, containing completely killed or attenuated Klebsiella pneumonia cells. Composition is administered in successive doses administered with a dosing interval of at least one hour such that two or more doses are administered for period of 2 days to 1 month with a dose duration of at least one week. Group of inventions also includes use of antigenic composition, containing completely killed or attenuated Klebsiella pneumonia cells for modulation of immune system of vertebral host for therapeutic or preventive treatment of pulmonary infection Streptococcus pneumonia or Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
EFFECT: use of the given group of inventions enables administering subcutaneously to induce antimicrobial activity against lung infection Pseudomonas aeruginosa or Streptococcus Pneumonia, increasing expression of TNF and MCP-1 genes in the lungs.
