FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a plasma induction burner. Burner comprises a burner tubular body, a tubular insert, a tube for plasma retention and an annular channel. Tubular burner body has upstream and downstream sections defining appropriate inner surfaces. Tubular insert is attached to internal surface of downstream section of tubular body of burner. Tube for plasma confinement is located coaxially with it in the burner tubular body. Tube for plasma confinement has a tubular wall with thickness narrowing in the axial direction of the plasma flow. Annular channel is set on one side between inner surface of upper upstream section of tubular body of burner and inner surface of insert, and on the other side—the tubular wall outer surface of the plasma holding tube. Cooling channel carries fluid for tube cooling to retain plasma.
EFFECT: technical result is reduced probability of tube breakage as a result of increasing volume specific enthalpy of plasma.
