FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding and can be used in ship propulsors, namely, in designs of reverse-steering devices of water-jet propellers. Reverse-steering device of water-jet propulsor comprises reversible ladle and deflecting elements that change jet flow of water-jet propulsor in required direction. Deflecting elements are made in the form of at least one bucket-shaped shutter with curvilinear surface, which can move along the water jet propeller nozzle edge, providing overlapping cross section of water-jet propeller nozzle and jet cutting. Reverse-steering device of water-jet propeller is actuated to change the direction of jet flowing from water-jet propeller. Part of the jet emanating from the water-jet propeller nozzle is cut off and deflected to the required angle without changing the structure and direction of movement of the rest of the jet, or the entire jet emanating from the water-jet propeller nozzle is cut off and diverted.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and broader functional capabilities of reverse-steering device water-jet propulsor.
