FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely traumatology, and discloses a polymer insert of the acetabular component of the hip joint prosthesis. Polymer insert is characterized by that it is made from ultrahigh-molecular polyethylene by thermal pressing, having 11 class of roughness of surface of the hole, friction moment is not more than 1.5 N. Polymer insert includes a bioactive porous layer based on ultrahigh molecular polyethylene on outer side of polymer insert of acetabular component of endoprosthesis, which has high osteoinductive properties due to its structure: pore size 50–1,000 mcm, open and communicating pores, volumetric porosity varies from 50 to 90 %.
EFFECT: presence of a bioactive porous layer provides attachment of a polymer insert of an acetabular component of a hip joint prosthesis to an acetabulum of the patient and bone tissue growth into a bioactive porous layer.
