METHOD FOR REGULATION AND RECOVERY OF INDEPENDENT WALKING IN PATIENTS WITH MOTOR PATHOLOGY OF VARIOUS GENESES Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61F2/72

Abstract RU 2725090 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, particularly to neurophysiology, and can be used for regulation and recovery of independent walking in patients with traumatic injuries and/or spinal and/or brain diseases using percutaneous electric stimulation of spinal cord. Method involves simultaneous continuous stimulation of spinal cord at least at level of vertebras T11-T12 and rhythm stimulation of spinal roots at level of vertebras T11 and L1, wherein the level of stimulation and lateral stimulation depends on the phase and rate of movement of the intact upper and/or lower extremity. Rhythmic stimulation of the spinal roots is ensured by the motion of the intact upper and/or lower extremity. Spinal neuroprosthesis comprises a multichannel stimulator for percutaneous electrical stimulation of the spinal cord, which includes at least one data storage device and one or more programs loaded into at least one data storage device, wherein one or more programs comprises instructions for carrying out the method according to any of claims 1–14, electrodes or a matrix of electrodes connected to said stimulator, at least one recording means for detecting contact and/or separation of the unaffected and/or paretic lower extremity and/or a support apparatus on which the unaffected upper extremity rests from the surface when walking, a stimulation start-up or termination device.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides improved neurological recovery of motor activity, higher efficiency of rehabilitation ensured by percutaneous electrical stimulation of spinal cord with simultaneous continuous stimulation of spinal cord at least at level of vertebras T11-T12 and rhythmic stimulation of roots of spinal cord at level of vertebras T11 and L1.
