METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PATIENT'S HEAD POSITION CONTROL AND CORRECTION THEREOF BY NON-INVASIVE NEUROSTIMULATION Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B5/11 A61N1/36 A61H1/00

Abstract RU 2822711 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, in particular to a method and a device for monitoring the position of the patient's head and its correction by non-invasive neurostimulation. Method involves a quantitative assessment of the position and movements of the head in static positions and during dynamic motor activity. Reference values of the head position that do not require correction are determined; mismatch with these values is detected and corrected by means of vibration and electrical stimulation of motor neurons of the cervical thickening and muscles providing the vertical position of the head. Device includes at least two miniature motion/position sensors containing 3-axis gyroscopes, 3-axis accelerometers and a magnetometer, a data input unit, a data accumulation unit with formation of model characteristics and the level of permissible deviations, at least 2 timers, vibration generation and adjustment units and electrical stimuli, a unit for accumulation of data on response to stimulating effects, units for generating a signal to corrective actions, a monitor for visual feedback, software, a PC/tablet/smartphone for control.

EFFECT: providing instrumental control and correction of the position of the patient's head with the help of biological feedback with the possibility of training and prosthetics of the head retention function.
