FIELD: automotive climate control systems.
SUBSTANCE: in the method of controlling the temperature in the passenger compartment of a hybrid vehicle or equipped with a "start-stop" system in idle mode, monitoring the state of the vehicle transmission; temperature in vehicle cabin is determined. Overriding initial adjustment of climate control system after the transmission state was in the parking state for a predetermined period of time, and determined cabin temperature is within predetermined temperature range. Presence of a driver in a vehicle can also be tracked.
EFFECT: improved fuel efficiency.
