FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a composition of a biodegradable thermoplastic composition and a method of producing a biodegradable thermoplastic composition. Biodegradable thermoplastic composition contains: polypropylene 32–34 wt. %, starch 55–47 wt. %, calcium carbonate 4.5–8 wt. %, ethylene vinyl acetate 4–5 wt. %, calcium oxide 1–2 wt. %, iron carboxylate 0.5–1 wt. %. Method of producing a biodegradable thermoplastic composition involves mixing polypropylene 32–34 wt. %, calcium carbonate 4.5–8 wt. % and calcium oxide 1–2 wt. % in centrifugal mixer for 1 minute and their supply by means of dispenser into first zone of double-screw extruder (flow 1); mixing ethylene vinyl acetate 4–5 wt. %, starch 55–47 wt. %, glycerol monostearate 3 wt. % and iron carboxylate 0.5–1 wt. % and directing them into a melting-heating apparatus, where at temperature of 100–110 °C, paste-like mass (flow 2). Dough-like mass (flow 2) is matched with homogeneous melt (flow 1) in fifth zone of double-screw extruder and at temperature of 180 °C flows 1 and 2, passing successive stages of transportation, injection, mixing, degassing, form a thermoplastic composition. Thermoplastic composition is additionally mixed by means of a gear booster pump and injected into the head, where a sheet blank is formed. Sheet workpiece arrives at cooled calender and in form of web is formed into roll.

EFFECT: technical result is the development of a composition and a method of producing a biodegradable thermoplastic composition for producing plastic articles of short-term use with a high destruction index in environmental conditions, which meet the requirements of GOST 57432-2017.
