FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to materials which improve or stabilize soil condition, particularly mulching biodegradable polymer films. Biodegradable composition contains polyhydroxyalkanoate, a plasticiser and a filler. Composition additionally contains dried to constant weight composition based on dextrin starch, obtained by successive mixing in an aqueous medium at temperature of 80–95°C of starch dextrin first with chitosan and lactic acid, then with sodium alginate, glycerol and talc, and containing, pts. wt.: starch dextrin 30, glycerine 10–15, lactic acid 0.15–0.30, chitosan 0.08–0.25, sodium alginate 0.2–0.4, talc 5–7. Plasticizer used in the biodegradable composition is epoxidised oil and the filler is a natural mineral filler, with the following content of components, pts. wt.: polyhydroxyalkanoate 65–20, starch dextrin-based composition 35–80, natural mineral filler 10–30, epoxidised oil 0.5–3.0.
EFFECT: composition enables to obtain a mulching film capable of complete biochemical decomposition in soil for a year.
