FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of well drilling, namely to calibrators used for calibration and reduction of well bore deviation, in particular when drilling horizontal and directional wells. Calibrator comprises hollow cylindrical housing with blades on outer surface reinforced with wear-resistant inserts, wherein it is equipped with a retaining nozzle located in the lower part of the calibrator housing, wherein the housing upper part is made with ejection chambers with length LK, each of which is formed by inter-blade space of upper part of calibrator, that is bottom of inter-blade space and side walls of calibrating blades on external surface of housing, and wall of well and consists of two sections: initial LKH and final LKK, length of which is related to total length of ejection chamber LK by ratio LKK = (0.55 ÷ 0.85)LK, wherein provision is made for the condition (r1β1 + r2β2) = (0.22 ÷ 0.65) (r1α1 + r2α2), where: r1 is external radius of calibrator; r2 is radius of calibrator housing, α 1 is an angle between extreme outer points located on outer diameter of calibrator from inner surfaces of two adjacent long blades of initial section of ejection chamber; α2 is the angle between the extreme inner points located on the outer diameter of the calibrator housing on the side of the inner surfaces of the two adjacent long blades of the initial section of the ejection chamber; β1 is angle between extreme outer points located on outer diameter of calibrator from inner surfaces of two adjacent long blades of end section of ejection chamber; β2 is the angle between the extreme inner points located on the outer diameter of the calibrator housing on the side of the inner surfaces of the two adjacent long blades of the end section of the ejection chamber.

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of calibrator by optimizing operation of its ejection system.
