FIELD: fat and oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the fat and oil industry. Method of producing an adsorbent for cleaning sunflower-seed oil involves mixing, in an intensive mixer, 100 parts of diatomite, 1 part of alumina-containing powder, in terms of alumina, 3–6 parts of solution of 33–35 % citric acid solution. Alumina-containing powder used is aluminium hydroxide or clay minerals - montmorillonite, beidellite, kaolinite, palygorskite or rocks containing bentonite and floridine.
EFFECT: invention increases adsorbent activity during adsorption purification of sunflower oil.
