FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for clarification of plant oil involves mixing said oil with a natural adsorbent, heating the mixture and filtration. The adsorbent used is natural zeolite-containing silica rock (ZSR) from the Shatrashansk deposit in the Republic of Tatarstan or zeolite-containing silica clay (ZSC) from the Kushkuvaysky deposit with total content of useful components (zolite, opal-cristobalite and montmorillonite) of not less than 71% and 84%, respectively, mechanically activated in an electro-mass-classifier with rate of passage of the material through the activation zone of 20 kg/h, to particle size smaller than 200 mcm for ZSR or smaller than 50 mcm for ZSC, followed by firing at temperature 300°C for 2 hours and mixing the adsorbent with the plant oil in ratio 1:5 at temperature 90°C for 30 minutes.
EFFECT: invention increases the degree of clarification of plant oil and widens the mineral raw material base of adsorbents.
