FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves adding adsorbing agent to plant oil heated to 80°C, continuous stirring of suspension by mixer for 20 minutes. Adsorbing agent with chemical composition, wt %: SiO2 - 80.4, Al2O3 - 6.7, TiO2 - 0.7, Fe2O3+FeO - 3.7, K2O - 1.6, Na2O - 1.0, CaO - 0.6, MgO - 1.0, MnO - 0.1, processed with 20% sulphuric acid at 98-100°C for 2 hours with continuous stirring, particle size of 0.1-0.3 mm, is used in amount of 0.6-1.2% of the oil weight, and spent adsorbing agent is separated from oil by centrifugation.
EFFECT: improved quality of plant oil due to reduced content of oxidation products and phosphor-containing substances, reduced oil absorption power of adsorbing agent.
