FIELD: bicycles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to two-wheeled tandem bicycles having dimensions of single bicycle. Tandem bicycle comprises a frame, a steering control, a main and additional seats, wheels, a chain drive with cranks and pedals, as well as front and rear mechanisms of gear shift and braking. To create the second drive, tandem bicycle is equipped with two bars with threaded holes for attachment of rear pedals and two hinged assemblies rigidly fixed on both sides on frame near rear wheel axis. Bars front ends are hingedly attached to axes of front pedals, and rear – enter in hinge units with possibility of longitudinal and angular movement in them. Tandem bicycle can have a drive of rear pedals with controlled limitation of their movement in the longitudinal direction, which makes it possible to go with the second number both to the adult and to the child.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of tandem bicycle.
