FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to laser thermonuclear synthesis: to target irradiation methods and multichannel laser systems for its implementation and can be used in works on creation of high-temperature laser plasma. Method includes preliminary, mounting and operational adjustment, guidance and focusing of tuning beams in given points of target simulator (TS), with control of common base and process control on position of focal spots formed on electronic images of box-converter (BC), then TS is output by manipulator by moving TS along common base while maintaining position of common base, BC is introduced with a manipulator by moving it along a common base by setting the BC to the position of the TS at the linear and angular coordinates of the mutual position of the BC and TS stored at the preliminary adjustment stage. In device including powerful multichannel working laser TS and BC, coordinated by angular and linear coordinates, are installed on common platform, each of them is equipped with a manipulator with the possibility of angular and linear displacements along a common platform, which control is provided with a common platform manipulator, the TS faces are made in the form of light-sensitive matrices, TS has a function of controlling guidance and focusing of tuning beams to given points TS, and sensors of center of target camera have the function of controlling installation of target simulator in center of target camera.

EFFECT: high accuracy of guiding and focusing radiation of a multichannel laser on an indirect illumination target, wider range of dimensions of the irradiated target, reduced dimensions of the apparatus which realizes the method.
