SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing an aqueous dispersion of microparticles containing a water-insoluble, solid, non-polymer, organic active or functional material M and aminoplast resin A, which surrounds or encloses material M, which includes the following steps: I. providing an aqueous suspension of solid material M in form of coarse particles, II. effect on water suspension of shearing forces, so, that large particles of material M are milled, and an aqueous suspension of fine particles of material M, III is obtained. polycondensation of aminoplast pre-condensate during step II or in an aqueous suspension of fine particles of material M obtained at step II, wherein step II is carried out in the presence of at least one protective colloid and in the presence of at least a portion of the aminoplast pre-condensate, which is subjected to polycondensation at step III.

EFFECT: technical result is providing a method of microencapsulating solid, water-insoluble, non-polymeric organic active materials, such as agriculturally active compounds, without need to provide material powder before encapsulation; in particular, the method will be suitable for preparing aqueous suspensions of microparticles, in particular microparticles, which contain solid organic pesticide compounds, which are usually difficult to grind in an aqueous medium without any anti-foaming substances due to the presence of polar functional fragments.
