FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reactive power compensation devices. Method of providing balance of accumulated energy in device for automatic compensation of reactive power consists in the following. Voltage of the network is measured, amplitude value of the desired harmonic current is formed, and to preserve the charge of the storage capacitor, constant-error behaviour is automatically eliminated and the difference between the load power and the power consumed from the network is reduced. Voltage is measured on accumulating capacitor and conformity between stored energy in storage capacitor and necessary energy is controlled to create compensation mode due to property of capacitors to perform continuous integration. As a result, amplitude of the desired harmonic current is determined, which automatically preserves the balance of accumulated energy in the device for automatic compensation of reactive power in form of constancy of electric charge on the storage capacitor.
EFFECT: technical result consists in simplification of algorithms and programs of automatic reactive power compensation device.
