FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of railway transport, in particular to friction dampers of railway car oscillations. Vibration damper comprises friction wedge resting against, at least, one leaf spring and interacting with friction surfaces of bolster and side frame. Friction lining of rectangular shape from polymer material. On the rear side of the pad there are rectilinear projections located along diagonals of the strap. In the intersection of the protrusions there is a projection in the form of a truncated cone. On the end parts of the pad there are triangular protrusions, two faces of which are parallel to the diagonal projections, and the third face is parallel to the butt end. In the friction wedge there are slots mating the lugs protrusions.
EFFECT: higher reliability of friction vibration damper pad.
