SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to electrical steel sheet with oriented grain structure used as material of iron core of transformer. Electrotechnical sheet contains the main steel sheet, the oxide layer formed on the main steel sheet from amorphous SiO2, and the insulating coating with tension formed on the oxide layer. Main steel sheet has chemical composition, wt%: C: 0.085 or less, Si: 0.80–7.00, Mn: 1.00 or less, acid-soluble Al: 0.065 or less, Seq represented by the expression S+0.406·Se: 0.050 or less, iron and impurities making up the rest. Peak half-width (FWHM) for aluminum phosphate cristobalite type obtained by X-ray diffraction, is 2.5 degrees or less for X-ray diffraction using a Co-Kα excitation source with peak half width FWHM-Co 2θ=24.8° or is 2.1 degrees or less for X-ray diffraction using a Cu-Kα excitation source with peak half width FWHM-Cu 2θ=21.3°.

EFFECT: production of electrotechnical sheet with improved adhesion of insulating coating with tension.
