FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely to a sheet of electrical steel with an oriented grain structure used as a material for iron cores of transformers. The sheet of electrical steel includes the main steel sheet, an oxide layer placed in contact with the main steel sheet, and an insulating coating with tension in contact with the oxide layer. The main steel sheet has a chemical composition, wt. %: 2.5-4.0 Si, 0.05-1.0 Mn, 0.01 or less C, 0-0.005 S+Se, 0-0.01 soluble Al, 0-0.005 N, 0-0.03 Bi, 0-0.03 Te, 0-0.03 Pb, 0-0.50 Sb, 0-0.50 Sn, 0-0.50 Cr, 0-1.0 Cu, the rest is iron and impurities. The insulation coating is a mixed phosphate-silica insulation coating with an average thickness of 1-3 mcm. When conducting glow discharge spectroscopy in the area from the surface of the insulation coating with tension to the inner part of the main steel sheet, when the spraying time, denoted as Fe0.5 in seconds, at which the intensity of Fe emission becomes equal to 0.5 of its saturation value on the depth profile, and the spraying time, denoted as Fe0.05 in seconds, at which the intensity of Fe emission becomes equal to 0.05 of its saturation value on the depth profile, the values of Fe0.5 and Fe0.05 satisfy the condition: 0.01<(Fe0.5 - Fe0.05)/Fe0.5<0.35.

EFFECT: sheet has low magnetic losses and excellent adhesion of the insulating coating.
