SUBSTANCE: atomiser for a steam production system comprises an evaporation chamber having a volume; steam generating element located in evaporation chamber to produce steam in evaporation chamber volume; at least one pressure chamber separated from the evaporation chamber; and the air flow path through the atomiser, comprising: a steam collection portion extending through the evaporation chamber, which is smaller than said volume, along which air is passed for collection of steam obtained by the steam generating element, and at least one transport section passing through the discharge chamber, wherein each transport section supplies air to the steam collection section or collects air therefrom.
