SUBSTANCE: invention relates to information processing and, in particular, to a method, apparatus and a system for processing two-dimensional (2D) barcodes. Invention includes a server receiving a request to receive an electronic certificate transmitted from a client and containing user identification; server receives an electronic certificate corresponding to user identification, and uses the server secret key to sign the electronic certificate and public key of the user on the client in order to obtain server signature information; and the server transmits to the client server signature information and an electronic certificate for the client to perform signature verification in the server signature information and generate 2D barcode based on the electronic certificate for the certificate verification terminal for verifying the electronic certificate in 2D barcode; wherein the certificate verification terminal generates an electronic certificate in accordance with the user identification.
