SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry, in particular, to tire tread pattern for movement on ice. In pneumatic tire (1), unit (4) comprises multiple sections (6) with recesses/protrusions on surface in contact with road surface. Besides, value Hc of recess/projection of each of sections (6) with recesses/projections is in range of 0.1 mm≤Hc≤1.0 mm. Besides, width Wc of section (6) with recesses/protrusions is in range of 0.1 mm ≤Wc≤0.8 mm. Zone A1 of recesses/protrusions is defined as an area in which the interval Dc of location between adjacent sections (6) with recesses/projections is in the range Dc≤1.2 mm. Smooth zone A2 is defined as a zone different from zone A1 of the recesses/projections, in which the arithmetic mean deviation of the Ra profile of the surface in contact with the road surface of unit (4) is in the range Ra≤50 mcm. Determined cross-section X, perpendicular to crosswise direction of tire. Transverse length Wb of surface in contact with road pavement is defined in unit (4) in tire transverse direction. In this case, unit (4) comprises zone A1 of recesses/projections and smooth zone A2 in optional cross-section X within transverse range of not less than 40 % of transverse length Wb of surface in contact with road surface of unit (4).
EFFECT: improved operational characteristics of the tire when moving on ice.
